From Jay Jolly CEO, Bonnie Lochner CCO and Wendy Johnson CMO

Happy New Year to all this week. We hope you all have found ways to celebrate the holidays safely with family and friends these past weeks and will have time to rest and reflect this coming weekend.

La Familia has been on the forefront of the fight against covid in our community and we all deserve to take a moment to congratulate ourselves and our coworkers on a job extremely well done. We have risen to the challenge and now we are at a turning point. we finally have a path forward and a way out of this devastating pandemic.

Special thanks to all who contributed to our extremely successful first wave of vaccine distribution, from all of you who stepped up to the plate and got vaccines, to the nursing staff who worked long hours to ensure everyone got safely vaccinated, to HR and the front office staff who organized the scheduling.

For those who did not get vaccinated, please see the email forthcoming from HR about next steps for you. Also, find below the recorded town hall addressing vaccine questions if you weren't able to attend last week.

In the coming weeks, we will be coordinating vaccinations for the rest of our staff and for other community members in the 1A group of front line health care workers. We are coordinating with Christus St. Vincent's Hospital and with the Department of Health in this effort. We may all get requests from friends and family inquiring about vaccinations. Please remember that we are only vaccinating front line healthcare workers at this time.

If you do get a request from a front line healthcare worker, please forward that on to Jasmine Meyer via email (jmeyer@lfmctr.org). Please do not tell anyone to just show up at the clinic and do not tell anyone that we will call them back or that they will definitely be scheduled. We are coordinating with Christus, so some groups might be referred to them, and some groups may not qualify for the 1A category. We thank you very much for your cooperation in this.

Again, we hope you all have a restful New Year's and we will see you again in 2021, with renewed hope to turn the corner and get back to a new normal as soon as possible.

Thank you again for all your dedication and hard work,

Jay, Bonnie and Wendy
