I am very excited to start a 3-week series on gratitude with you all. As Thanksgiving approaches, this might seem a bit corny. It is. But it is also profoundly beneficial. For the very short version: take a moment to pause, take a deep breath, feel yourself in your body. Think of one thing you are grateful for right now. It can be big, like the health of a loved one, or little, like a hot breakfast or new shoes. That’s it, just take another deep breath and feel a bit of gratitude.
For the longer version: try doing this every morning or every evening this week.
Level up: start a gratitude journal. Before you go to bed, write down 3 things you are thankful for. Again, they can be big or small. You don’t even have to feel happy about doing it, just keep doing it and you might surprise yourself.
Finally, here’s a cool graphic of the benefits of having a daily gratitude practice.
