I hope you have all had some time over the New Year weekend, and with the last month of OOM activities, to do some reflecting on 2020. I feel grateful for many things, and hope for the future. to be perfectly honest, a lot of my reflections also brought about negative emotions for me and I am ready to move on to the next of our 3 Rs: Reset.

When we talk about resetting a computer, we mean bringing it back to a clean slate. Take some time this week to think about what that might mean for you. How can you start the year with a clean slate? What goals and positive things will you fill that space in with? You might want to think about this as you do one of the activities we’ve learned about through OOM over the past few months – spend some time in nature, cook a healthy meal, listen to music, or do some journaling. Make sure you also take some time to feel proud of all that you have done in these difficult times as well!

If you were present for the guided imagery session we did together in this meeting’s morning, you can think of that screen as the clean slate, ready for you to fill with your hopes and dreams for the year to come. You can use that guided imagery technique all on your own, whenever you need to go clear out that space in your mind again.
