For the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing what’s going on with Operation Oxygen Mask over at First Choice in Albuquerque. It’s a series on “the three Rs”: Reflect, Reset, Revive. We’ll start with 3 weeks of reflection, which I think is perfect timing as we wrap up 2020 (finally!) Check out what they have to say:
2020 What a Year!
It has been a year unlike any that we have lived through before. All years have tears and joys, anger and love, cruelty and kindness. But, this year’s ups and downs have dwarfed those of the past century. They have demanded much from us as a nation, an organization and as individuals.
This week we reflect on our country. While Covid-19, discord over inequity, violence and greed worked to drag down our democracy, we rose up and voted in record numbers, stood together to support our beliefs and coped with the pandemic. As we reflect, let us gather the uplifting positives to carry forward into 2021.
HUDDLE QUESTION: What did our country do this year that you are the most proud of?
ACTIVITY: Think of a word or short phrase that sums up your feelings about our country in 2020.
