Distributions are set up for maximum safety. Attendees remain in their car while volunteers place food in the trunk. (Please clear room in your trunk for groceries.) It is possible to pick up food for one other household at the distributions. The food distributions at Santa Fe Place Mall and Espanola ("commodity distributions") include items from The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) and require The Food Depot to ask questions of recipients. These questions include name, address, and household information including income. No documentation is needed. These questions are only asked at the distributions held at Santa Fe Place Mall and Espanola. No one will be turned away during the distribution. The Food Depot is an equal opportunity provider.
